We hope you have enjoyed your first week in school and Year 2 and are ready for learning.

Here you will find the homework for Year 2. Homework will be uploaded onto this site where we ask that you print the correct group your child is in. They are to work on homework for no longer than 30 minutes at a time. Homework is to reinforce what they have learnt in the class. Homework will be set on a Wednesday and should be returned the following Wednesday. Your teacher will mark and give you feedback.

If you have any problems, please speak with your class teacher...

Thank you for your continued support,

This week in Math we have been recapping what we know about Place Value. We completed a 100 number square to help us count from 1 to 100. Please complete the worksheet and return to school on Wednesday 27th September..

This week in English we have be learning all about Calligrams. A Calligram is a word or piece of text in which the design and layout of the letters creates a visual image related to the meaning of the words themselves. You can also write the words inside the body of the picture or around the edges of a picture to create the border of a picture. See Calligram example sheet.

We have been investigating living and non-living things this week. eg Humans, animals and plants - living. Table, pencil, cup, TV and house - non-living.

Complete the following worksheet using the instructions at the top. Discuss and encourage your child to explain why they group them in each category.
