Similes are a figure of speech used to help describe things by comparing them to familiar objects.
We use the words ‘like’ and ‘as’ to help us compare them.
1) My dinner was hot like the sun.
2) The A.C was as cold as ice.
Can you please make sure your child completes the correct similes worksheet. They have been put into groups and know their colour.

This week in Science we have started our new topic of Plants. We have been busy planting and watering out beans and most of them are now growing so we can measure them and keep a record of how they are doing.
This week for homework, we would like you to complete the worksheet and try and remember the different parts of the plant. Draw your own plant and use the words in the text box to help you label it.
