Welcome to Year 4's Wikispace!
The Year 4 team would like to welcome you all back for another year NBA. This is sure be another year of fun and learning for all pupils and Year 4 staff.

Each week homework will be uploaded onto wikispace, please ensure that all tasks are printed of for your child/children and completed to the best of their ability. All tasks should be completed by the children and not by an adult or home tutor. This is the best way for teachers to track pupils learning and know when extra assistance and guidance is needed.

TERM 3 SUMMARY BOOKLETS:

Dear parents,

The Term 3 Summary Booklets for Reading, Mathematics and Science have been uploaded below. The timetable for assessments is yet unavailable however, we can inform you that assessments will commence the week beginning May 23rd.

Not all of the content for the assessments has been covered in class yet, so please do not be concerned if there are aspects of the summary booklets that your children are unfamiliar with. Everything will be taught in class before they sit their assessments.

Please start revising with you children as soon as possible to give them enough time to prepare for their assessments.

Education City has some good reading activities your child can complete which include comprehension questions.


If you are reading at home with you child, print of the following question cards and use them after or during reading to help your child improve comprehension skills.

Dear parents,
We have uploaded some reading comprehension with answers for your children to practice at home. There is a mix of fiction and non-fiction texts, some easier and some more challenging.

These comprehensions will not be marked in class, they are for your child to do some extra reading practice at home if they wish. However, you can sit down with your children at home and mark their work with them as the answers are provided for your convenience.
